MODIFICATION OF USGA EMBEDDED BALL RULE 25-2”. A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark “THRU-THE-GREEN” may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.

IN ORDER TO HASTEN PLAY, DROP AREAS have been established for balls that may be declared unplayable in certain areas of the course. These DROP AREAS are defined by white line markings.

Distance measuring devices are allowed during the play.

Relief from edging grooves around the putting greens is allowed. Lift, clean and place ball as close as possible to original lie not nearer the hole.
